Biography
Born in Napa into a Italian family, a second generation Italian, wine was a primary focus from his early childhood.
Fascinated by the industry Mark was around wineries and wine makers from his early years. At the age of 30 he bought a 160 acre ranch in the hills above Sonoma valley with the intention of planting grapes. Mark spent years studying and researching but for various reasons never got the vineyard planted. As a result of having a partner in the venture was forced to sell the land in 2004 20 years after its purchase.
Mark loved sharing his passion with others and in the early 1980’s started doing wine tours with his friends. Soon he realized the incredible appreciation people showed him by planning these tours. Shocked, by the joy of it, he was driven to do more. By the late 1980’s he was planning Tours for as many as 120 people and realized that this was just to big to be personal.
Today, Mark prefers smaller groups of no more than 8 and 4 is even better. He works with Jim Williams at Limos America to provide the finest in guided tours of the Napa and Sonoma Counties!
